Recommendations by Harriet, Fitzroy Store Manager.
With Fitzroy's unique vibe and over saturation of grungy cafes and bars around the area, Harriet has done some research and find her favorites spots in Melbourne most desirable suburb.

BEST FOR COFFEE:
Only went here for the first time a couple weeks ago by recommendation and I was so impressed. Friendly staff and a great menu making it a hard pick. If you feel like something outside of your normal smashed avo then the Lobster Eggs Benny on a charcoal Brioche is one to try. Grab a loaf of their freshly baked bread or a sweet treat on your way out to take home!

BEST FOR LUNCH:
ICHI NI NANA
Best Japanese food I have had in Melbourne! It's the kind of place you get food envy when you see other people's dishes come out after you've ordered..until you get your own. Every plate is really beautifully presented and tastes even better. Highly recommend getting some smaller dishes to share so you can try a few different plates cause it is well worth it.

Best for dinner:
If pizzas are your thing then you can't miss Lazer Pig. Book out one of their tables in the back dining areas if there's a group of you, especially as it can get pretty busy later in the week.Their wood fired pizzas are amazing - my pick would be 'The Fun Guy' (lots of mushroom!) partnered with a cold beer, you can't go wrong (check out their sweet happy hours too). Open late every night of the week so stick around for their DJs if electronic music is ya vibe ~
Where: 9-11 Peel St, Collingwood
Best for drinks:
RUPERT ON RUPERT
Great open space and a perfect venue for any groups. Good for after-work drinks or some Saturday cocktails with an extensive wine list and most of your classic spirits and cocktails on offer. Can be a bit of a mixed crowd sometimes but give it a second chance cause it is a good go-to for whatever mood you're feeling that night!
