This season we looked to warmer continents, desert landscapes and imperfect surfaces to influence the direction of our Spring/Summer Alkaline collection..
We travelled to the Aegean coastline and photographed textures, colours and landscapes which became the founding ideas behind the range. Oversized styles, free flowing shapes, large draping pockets and asymmetric detailing, run throughout both collections. A consistent focus on premium, natural fibres in the knitwear and jersey categories ring true to the archetypal Nique aesthetic.
Lightweight and semi-sheer fabrics in Silk, Viscose, Linen and textured Cotton Crepe have been used throughout the women’s collection, which features draping silhouettes and wrapping, folding and layering details. Exclusive prints designed in-house extend on timeless, Nique-notions of natural phenomenon, raw textures and abstracted geometry. This season, oceanic seascapes, arid textures and natural camouflage inspired designs come in both silk and rayon.
For the menswear, intricate detailing throughout the shirting and outer wear categories compliments an exploration into contemporary silhouettes. Twisted and exposed seams and hemlines fuse with over-dyed fabrics giving an authentic, lived-in quality.
